What is CAW?
For those of you who are new, CAW stands for Create A Wrestler, referring to the mode in wrestling video games that allows you to create your own characters. The term “CAW wrestling”, however, refers to a form of machinima that uses wrestling video games to create matches, episodic shows and storylines.
Who originated CAW?
It is difficult to pinpoint the first CAW league as many internet users claim to be the first. Without a doubt, the first league to receive huge popularity was Wade Needham’s league, Slam ‘N’ Jam. Arguably the most important league of them all, generally accepted as the second “Big” league is Aaron Rift’s league, NoDQ CAW. For more information, check out the History page.
What are the aims of the CAW Vault?
The CAW Vault was set up to offer a place to host all the greatest leagues of CAW. Originally, a NoDQ CAW Vault was set up on YouTube to host NoDQ CAW’s matches, but the website was formed to offer a place to host these matches for download and to let CAW fans old and new experience this amazing form of entertainment.
